And we were down to our last Tres Marias Adventure Series!
It was a gloomy 5PM Sunday when we arrived at the harbor. We decided to have our dinner while waiting for the boat going to the island. It drizzled while having our dinner in an open area. Instead of transferring which will take time, we just open our umbrella – were always ready :-).
Charina and Ricco did not go with us in Sambawan since they have work on the next day and they been there in Sambawan few months back.
We were surprised with the open boat ride and was hesitant if the 18 of us would fit in. The weather was not good, the night was dark and the waves was a bit scary. We played few games to divert our attention from the big waves. Still I am a bit anxious and I believe others felt the same way. The ride takes 2hrs and I felt relived seeing some lights from the island.
SAMBAWAN IT IS!
We arrived in the island by 8PM and most of us were a bit tired. We settled on a cottage and pitched our tents. While others went for a quick swim, others prepared some soup and noodle. We have our own ways to regain the energy. I decided to lie a bit on the cottage while others are busy with there chitchats and foods. It turned out that I sleep so deep and was awaken by 11PM with the noise of the ‘thumbs up’ game. I joined them on the next round. LOL. It was a stupid game. We call it a night after that round.
We woke up 5AM and had the chance to explore the place.
Sambawan Island Biliran’s answer to paradise. A good place to stay with if you wanted to escape from reality. It is located 5km of the west coast of Mariripi Municipality, south of the Samar sea. White sand, spectacular sunrise, stunning view, a semi-curved beach with soaring rocky terrain covered with green grasses that creates a bubble of fantasy that seems like you are entering another dimension. I stayed in the watch tower at the highest point for some time. I enjoyed the place a lot and didn’t mind cam-whoring. I wouldn’t mind waking each day on this place.
After a while, we decided to explore on the other side of the island.
Just like anything else, our trip has its own ending. 🙂 After having our breakfast, we packed up and bid goodbye.
On the way, our guide Ryan took us to 2 spots. A glimpse on a cave and a stopover on Dalutan resort. Others had a chance to swim while others were taking a break from the scorching heat of the sun from our open boat ride.
That ends my Tres Marias Adventure Series. Ciao! 🙂
