Vacay on Inhabited Area to Chill

My good friend of mine – Lawrence once invited me to have a short vacay in Manila just to have a chitchats and ‘lil walk at the park. I was hesitant since it would take a certain amount of money to go. But the ‘Laagan’ blood in me is pumping out once we know that the Cebu Pacific is on sale.

The booking take quite long due to credit card issue, adventurous blood issue and the confirmation of the people who is going.

  1. Credit card issue – errors upon booking using my card. Our option is to pay thru payment centers (but we don’t have the cash yet) or borrow another credit card. ‘Til the Cebu pacific promo just gone.
  2. Adventurous issue – we wanted to ride a bus so we can pass ‘Bataan’. We think it’s enjoyable even if it takes much time. So then by the time we know a promo from Air Asia, we book a plane ticket from Manila to Cebu. Yay!
  3. Confirmation issue – Ednon is hesitant if he is coming with us or not. In the end he decided to go. ๐Ÿ™‚

Around 2 weeks before the flight, we weigh the pros and cons on riding a bus with the consideration of our budget. And finally, we decided to just book a plane from Cebu to Manila. Good thing, there’s a promo and we save not much but at least. ๐Ÿ™‚

Our concerns and issues doesn’t end there. Days before our scheduled flight, Ednon received a call from the company that he’s applying for in Surigao. He had a training offer in Manila. The training starts 3 days before our scheduled departure and ends a day before our scheduled return flight. Sad to say that promo tickets are non-refundable. It’s kinda depressing but there’s nothing we can do about it. Still a BIG congratulations to Ed for having the opportunity to work in his hometown. The opportunity that his been praying for quite sometime I guess. I’m hoping that one day we’ll be going there. ๐Ÿ™‚

So much for the booking issues thing. Let’s go for our 3 days 2 nights in Manila. May 21, 2015, Thursday, I already packed and bring with me my things in the office. Though my scheduled flight is 2AM of the following day I find it stressful to go home – Bulacao and traveled for an hour or more. I’m good on sorting things out when traveling light I believe. So I just have to chill in the office and wait for Ingrid. While waiting, Kathleen and Randy invited me for a jog. Hmmm… I don’t have jogging attire with me. But then, there is always a way. I was able to go with them wearing my black short, that yellow green Bantayan t-shirt and a pair of sleepers. Haha! Rey thinks that I do have beach outfit. Ohhh well. Haha. That night, Ingrid and brothers transferred to another room on their apartment . That keeps her busy. We decided to see each other at the Marina mall. Since, I don’t know what Jeep I am going to take, I go with Randy on his way home. We rode a Jeep from country mall going to J Center mall. We got there at around 10PM and we found out there there’s no more Jeep on the terminal going to Lapu2x… Oopps, we just rode a taxi and that’s make our life easier anyway. Hehe! As I arrive in Marina, I grab something to drink and eat. I waited Ingrid for a while but I decided to proceed to airport so I can take a nap. The usual setting on waiting for a flight is on the air. Haha! Lot’s of people and we can hardly find a sit for us to stay so we just sit beside the wall.

At around 4AM, we arrived at the NAIA terminal 3. Lawrence gave us an option to go for the short way – riding a taxi or to take the long way – via Jeepney and bus. As I read the instruction on the long way, I immediately say ‘I like this’ and never thought that Ingrid totally agree with me. Haha! We ride a Jeep going to Edsa. From Edsa we ride a bus ‘Ibabaw’ then simply stop at the Greenfield district.

That Friday, Ingrid an I left in the condo since Lawrence is out for duty. We just enjoy the place and sleep. By afternoon, we go out to Pavillion to buy something for me to wear on the pool. We had our dinner at Shangrilla then back to condo and have our night swimming and have our wine afterwards…char. Haha! That’s one of the typical vacation I wanted to try. Just go in an unfamiliar place, relax, chill. ๐Ÿ™‚

What really excites me on that trip is the thought that I can visit CCF main in Ortigas. Sunday morning, I was the one who woke up first and immediately prepare so we won’t be late on 9am service. Yeah, indeed CCF main is really big and I think even bigger than e.mall. We arrived there 30mins earlier. So we first had our quick breakfast and the good thing is that the food there is very affordable. ๐Ÿ™‚

CCF Main

After that, we proceeded to the main sanctuary. There’s a lot of people and ohhh…never thought Hayden kho is right in front me. We also noticed Venus Raj right in the center. We had our quick picture taking on the place.

Inside CCF Main

After that, we decided to have a quick visit in BGC. We had our lunch @ SM Aura.

We then went to Makati to buy pasalubong @ Contis Bakeshop.

After our long walk in Makati

After that long walk in Makati, we go back to condo to have some rest and then get ready for our flight back to Cebu. We plan to have swimming before we leave but the guard insisted that our swimming outfit is cotton and is not allowed. Hmmmm… I wonder why we’re able to have swimming night before. So then, we had our quick chitchat over dinner then left. Ingrid booked grab a taxi from greenfield to terminal 2. When we arrived @ terminal 2, we realized that we’re supposed to be in terminal 4. Yeah we’ve checked in online but we just have less an hour left. There’s a taxi in airport but very costly – 200pesos. Ingrid is trying to book a grab taxi and thankfully after around 20mins, we got one. We arrived @terminal 4 30 mins before the scheduled flight when we found out that the plane is delayed. That’s better compared when we were left out by the plane.

Camwhorring! Off we go!
